A new group of Khan Do Kwan Police Control Tactics (KPCT) instructors successfully completed the Level 2 Instructor Certification, held October 13–17, 2025, at the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association in Avon, Indiana. All participants were graduates of the KPCT Level 1 program and represented law-enforcement agencies from across Indiana. The week-long advanced course concentrated on instructor development, tactical decision-making, and practical scenario training — with a focused curriculum on both control tactics and officer safety.

Course topics included:

  • Basic and advanced baton tactics

  • Edged-weapon defenses tailored for law enforcement contexts

  • Weapon retention and disarm techniques

  • Scenario-based instructor delivery and force-option decision making

Deputy Chief Kelvis Williams of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office presented certificates to the graduates in recognition of their professional development and commitment to improving officer safety through KPCT.
