Training

Instructor Certification for Levels 1; 2 and 3 are offered to individuals interested in certifying as instructors in the KPCT - Khan Do Kwan Police Control Tactics system. Each Instructor certification module is 1 week/ 40 hours long. Certificates are issued to all participants who successfully complete the certification. Indiana Officers who complete the certification receive Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board recognition from the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Academy.

1, 2 & 3 Day Training Modules

1, 2 and 3 Day modules at your location/ Department/ Agency in a variety of topics:

1. Control Tactics (Pressure point applications for real world;      Joint locks and takedowns).

2. Tactical Handcuffing.

3. Striking for gaining Control.

4. Self Defense for The Law Enforcement Professional.

5. Edged Weapon Defense.

6. Law Enforcement Baton Tactics.

7. Weapon Retention and Disarms.

8. Multiple Officer to subject control.

9. Use Of Force Training & Lecture.

10. A combination of all of the above topics.

Police officers can become instructors in KPCT Khan Do Kwan Police Control Tactics by completing a 40-hour certification course for each level. To be eligible for the next level, applicants must be certified in the previous level. Level 1, 2, and 3 courses are available, each taking one week to complete.
KCL1 Training
Levels 1 - 3 Training and Certification Syllabus.

Level 1:
Stances; Positioning; Movements; Blocking; Striking (hands); Kicking & knees; Blocks; Pressure points; Joint locks; Takedowns; Handcuffing; 2, 3 and 4 officer control; Contact & cover; VNR; Ground fighting; Basic Baton tactics.

Level 2:
Advanced applications from material learnt in Level 1; Law enforcement based self-defense & counter assault; Advanced baton tactics; Edged weapon defenses; Blunt weapon defenses; Weapon retention; Weapon disarms.
