KPCT Level 2 Instructor Certification Successfully Concludes at the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association

From May 11–15, 2026, the KPCT – Khan Do Kwan Police Control Tactics Level 2 Instructor Certification was successfully conducted at the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association (ISA) training facility in Avon, Indiana. Law enforcement officers from several police departments and sheriff’s offices across the State of Indiana participated in this intensive week-long advanced instructor development program.

The Level 2 certification focused on advanced police control and defensive tactics, including baton tactics, edged weapon defense, weapon retention, disarming techniques, advanced control tactics, and real-world survival applications for law enforcement officers. Participants were pushed both mentally and physically throughout the training and demonstrated outstanding professionalism, discipline, and commitment to officer safety.

KPCT – Khan Do Kwan Police Control Tactics, developed by Grandmaster Javed Khan, continues to grow as one of the most respected law enforcement defensive tactics programs in the region. The program is fully recognized by the Indiana Law Enforcement Training Board and is designed specifically to provide officers with practical, street-effective tactics that can be applied in real-world encounters.

A special highlight of the graduation ceremony was the presentation of an honorary Black Belt in Taekwondo to Indiana Sheriffs’ Association Executive Director Stephen Luce in recognition of his continued support of law enforcement training and his dedication to advancing officer education and professional development throughout the state of Indiana.
